Fall cycling series begins with Cyclocross

The Little 500 Fall Cycling Series will kick-off this Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Bill Armstrong Stadium, with the Cyclocross event. This is the first of three events coordinated by the IU Student Foundation which are aimed at building interest in the Little 500. Cyclocross is an obstacle course which, in addition to riding, forces participants to carry their bikes, jump over hay bales and run up and down stadium stairs. Those who aren't afraid of the possibility of getting injured say it's a fun way to start getting excited about Little 5.

Hoosiers take on No. 6 Ohio State

This Saturday, the Hoosiers travel to Columbus, Ohio to take on the Buckeyes in the Horseshoe, one of the largest stadiums in college football. No. 6 Ohio State brings a perfect 5-0 record into the 11:10 a.m. kick-off.

John Barrymore is often remembered not only as being one of the greatest actors of the Golden Age of Hollywood, but also as one of the most tragic. His career started with such classics as Grand Hotel, Dinner at Eight, and the silent version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. However towards the end of his life, the films he starred in floundered in quality and his career began to unravel. He died at the age of sixty leaving behind one fascinating piece of unfinished business.

Fallon to perform for sold-out house

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- It was move-in day at Texas A&M, and parent after parent peeked into Room 138 in Davis-Gary Hall. There was a kitchen that had a half-size refrigerator, stove and microwave. Sunlight spilled through two living room windows onto gray carpet. There was a purple sofa, two cranberry-cushioned chairs and an oak entertainment center.
