Art Museum becomes coffeehouse on Thursday nights

The leaves will start to change and the temperature outside will drop as fall nears, but the IU Art Museum will stay warm as it combines coffee with art, music and more during its coffeehouse nights series.

The international story-exchange project was a yearlong endeavor started by IU’s Global Village Living-Learning Center to bring books to Rwanda schools with limited resources. But Books and Beyond, as its name indicates, is about more than book donation.

Kelley graduates hit highs, lows post-graduation

According to the U.S. News & World Report, the Kelley school is ranked 12th overall in the nation for undergraduate programs and 22nd for MBA programs. U.S. News also reports that 82.3 percent of its graduates in the MBA program have full-time jobs upon graduating. No statistics were available for undergraduates.

IU President Michael McRobbie announced Tuesday new grants intended to offset tuition increases for in-state students and appease a state senator who has delayed funding for IU building projects in protest of rising tuition.

In a small, dark room in the middle of campus, Jay Kincaid sat at his station. Lights flickered, the wall in front of him was covered in monitors and technicians around him flicked switches and adjusted machines in an intricate game called live TV.

A world of bagels

During its 13 years of operation, the Bloomington Bagel Company has collected pictures of its customers and their bagels from around the world. Each table in the stores is decorated with a variety of different pictures, but what they all have in common is the presence of one, most likely stale, bagel from the store.
