Detectives arrest 2 locals on drug charges

Officers from the Bloomington Police Department and the Ellettsville Police Department obtained a search warrant and entered the home of Lawrence Benton Roper, 27, and Stephanie Lynn Brown, 26 at 6:45 a.m. Thursday.

Site predicts 2100 to be warmer

This summer may have felt hot, but according to a new scientific Web site, temperatures in Indiana might rise as much as 10 degrees by 2100. The Web site, www.climatewizard.org, used data compiled by a Nobel Prize-winning panel of climate experts to predict what future temperatures would look like across the United States.

CHESTERTON, Ind. — Some Indiana liquor store owners worry that a push to allow Sunday alcohol sales in the state could hurt their businesses if lawmakers were also to permit grocery stores to sell cold beer.
