'Barbershop 2 Soundtrack' is in 'Business'

Ah, the sequel. So many just don't live up to the hype anymore. So many are aimed at the almighty Benjamins. So many are disappointing. From this perspective, the Barbershop 2: Back in Business Soundtrack is a successful step up from the original.

'Crow' unlikely to 'Murder' Incubus' career

A rollercoaster ride -- you strap yourself in, hoping for the best ride of your life. Holding your breath, it's a little slow up that first hill. You finally hit the top, let go of all sensible thoughts concerning space or time, the adrenaline kicks in and that crazy rush fills your body. Before you know what happened, you breathlessly reach the end. Amazing.

If you want respect, learn to act

Back in 1984, "Breakin'" took the breakdancing craze off the street and put it onto the big screen. Over-the-top choreography barely overshadowed the amateur acting and undeveloped plot of the old-school cult classic. In this respect, "You Got Served" is a case of cinematic déjà vu.

It's a 'Miracle' this isn't an ESPN original

If Oscars were given for the year's best feel good movie, "Miracle" would be a shoo-in for a nomination. Based on the true story of the 1980 Gold Medal-winning U.S. Olympic Hockey team, "Miracle" takes you on a journey through all the pain and glory of building champions out of ordinary boys and achieving the impossible dream.

'Ocean's Eleven' + 'Full House' = 'Catch That Kid'

Finally a crime caper for the kiddies and any fan of "Ocean's Eleven." This movie is pretty similar, except 12-year-olds are committing the crime, and they're not nearly as flashy as Brad Pitt and company.

When sophomore Elliott Robinson moved into Eigenmann Hall last year, he was thrilled to find a campus convenience store located in his building's foyer. He was startled, however, when he perused the receipt from his first foray into C-store shopping. That bag of beef jerky he'd been coveting? Eight dollars. Had Robinson sauntered across the street to the Village Pantry at the corner of Tenth and Union streets, he would have found the same product for two dollars less.

Hoosiers travel to Penn State looking for a win

Following Saturday's double-overtime loss to Iowa, senior A.J. Moye had a talk with his teammates. He said he spoke with emotion and from the heart to let his teammates know how he felt with this being his last year. IU (11-9, 5-4 Big Ten) will take the floor at 6 p.m. tonight at Penn State to see if that message has finally sunk in. "Everybody knows what it takes now, there's no doubt in my mind," Moye said. "We're going to give everything we've got to win. We saw what happens when we take stuff for granted out there on that floor." Emotions got the best of several players last week after the Hoosiers dropped three straight games, two of those at home. Moye and sophomore forward Sean Kline both talked about the lack of team effort, without naming names.

Rental woes solved with learning

Newspaper pilot ups circulation in first week

IUSA proposes parking changes

IU Parking Operations' policy is drawing fire from the IU Student Association. IUSA recently drew up a working proposal to lessen penalties for first-time parking offenders. The reform would reduce parking tickets to $20-25 for a vehicle's first two infractions.
