All-nighter for a cure

The American Cancer Society is holding its annual Relay for Life event from 3 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday on the Billy Hayes Track. The event will honor both local cancer survivors and caregivers while raising funds and awareness for cancer research and patient programs.

Breakup season

Winter woes

Um, it’s still cold out. Yes, some days are better than others, but I ain’t buyin’ it. It is still very much winter here, and anyone who believes otherwise is a big phony, as Holden Caulfield would say. And you can’t disagree with Holden Caulfield because he speaks for all of us – just consult the essay you wrote on “Catcher in the Rye” your junior year of high school. Therefore, global warming is obviously a hoax.

State money for prisoner education?

College students know the value of their money. They feel firsthand the impact of high tuition and struggle to get financial aid. Money, it seems, is always tight. And while this is a somewhat accepted hardship, an increasingly frequent policy utilized by IU, among other schools, has students asking if the money is really going where it should – namely, whether it should be going to prisoners.
