Exhibit displays Islamic book art

“From Pen to Printing Press: Ten Centuries of Islamic Book Arts” presents a variety of traditional Islamic writings, including calligraphy, paper marbling, printing, illumination and painting. The exhibit began Friday and runs through May 10 in the art museum’s Special Exhibitions Gallery and is free to the public.


Actresses Rachel Tyler, Michelle Dawson and Kittra Wynn Coomer perform "Dancing Queen" during the encore of "Mamma Mia!" Friday evening at the IU Auditorium. "Mamma Mia!" played five shows at the Auditorium this weekend.

The “Mamma Mia!” cast filled the stage with energy during the two-act production, and  following the play’s tradition, the cast provided a three-song set encore that got many audience members dancing.

Dumes to miss today's game with injury

Devan Dumes, IU’s leading scorer this season, will not play in a game against Wisconsin this weekend because of an injury, media relations director J.D. Campbell said Saturday
