Israel still golden after report

In Judge Richard Goldstone’s recent report to the United Nations Human Rights Council, he equated Israel’s defense tactics with Hamas’ terrorism, but it is believed that the investigation was predetermined due to the Council’s reputation for being notoriously anti-Israel.

Being a college student gives you access to many things: a wide array of excellent research materials, helpful professors, other students with a focus in the same area to work with, unique cultural events – oh, and lest we forget the one so important it’s the only one advertised on T-shirts: parties and booze. However, there is one thing the average college student doesn’t have much access to, and that’s a well-paying job.

Reason for reflection

I think it’d be reasonable to say that the average American student appreciates education much less than a student in a place where the right to learn isn’t afforded to everyone. This is the case in Cape Town, where only 15 years ago apartheid separated the races and confined black students to ill-equipped schools and universities with largely inadequate standards for education.

Students use comedy to win big

College filmmakers have their chance to win big and enter two college film competitions. Submissions for both contests are due Oct. 12. Both contests require comedic videos and include online posting as the chance to build a fan base.

IU issues in-state grant details
