Landon Donovan launches Team USA into the knockout stage

After missing out on so many opportunities, it seemed as if the United States would miss out on the next round of the World Cup. Throughout the game against Algeria, Team USA created chance after chance but somehow could not find the back of the net. However, with very little time remaining, the thought that Team USA would not be moving on was slowly becoming a reality. Landon Donovan refused to let that happen.

Task force fights homelessness, provides services

Members from all sectors of the Bloomington community have collaborated to create a new task force to address homelessness and enhance local social service facilities.

Residents respond to biomass plant

Liberty Green Renewables, LLC, proposed the facility in January 2009. The proposal included plans to build a 32-megawatt facility, the first of its kind in the Hoosier state. The plant would be considered a green energy source because of the company’s plans to turn wood waste into electricity.

A recent report concerning academic advising was released by the IU-Bloomington Academic Advising Task Force, calling for a career ladder for advisers, a central advising office and additional advising tools. While some students support the task force’s ideas, others are unsure about its reasoning.

IUSA continues project plans during summer

Behind a number of projects and additions to the IU campus are members of the IU Student Association, with project ideas stemming from IU students and carried out by the all-student administration.While many of the organization’s projects are implemented during the school year, IUSA members continue planning into the summer.
