Hill visits Monroe County Democratic Headquarters

“Hoosiers for Hill,” “Ellsworth, United States Senate” and “Standing Together for Health Insurance Reform” plaster the walls of the Monroe County Democratic Party Headquarters on the corner of Third and Grant streets. Baron Hill, the democratic incumbent of the 9th District seat, visited this busy workplace Monday.

Bloomington Playwrights Project fosters green movement and social awareness

For the Bloomington Playwrights Project, fostering the green movement and other prominent social issues motivated a series of plays known collectively as AwareFest. AwareFest, which began Oct. 1 and will run through Oct. 16 at the Bloomington Playwrights Project, was the creation of the BPP’s producing artistic director Chad Rabinovitz.

IU men's soccer is 6-4-1 thus far in 2010. The Hoosiers had the same record at this point in 2009 en route to a 9-8-1 finish to the regular season under former coach Mike Freitag. Can Todd Yeagley lead IU to a better record?

What’s a cutter?

Merriam-Webster defines a cutter as a type of sailing vessel, a light sleigh, or people who cut. According to Urban Dictionary, cutters are people who inflict physical pain on themselves or those pesky individuals who cut in front of others in line.
