Habitat finishes home

This was the last step in the journey — the last day building the Knapp family's new home. Saturday, they were given the keys. The build was a joint effort by IU, the Kelley School of Business, Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County and Whirlpool Corporation.

A 46-year-old man, who claimed he had AIDS, allegedly tried to bite and spit on hospital personnel Wednesday, Bloomington Police Department Lt. Bill Parker said.

Optometry suffers security breach

The IU School of Optometry notified 757 patients that a computer server containing their personal health information was visible online for nearly a month between August and September 2011, according to an IU press release.

Windfall's dancers fell at home

Windfall Dancers, Inc. is a nonprofit organization located in Bloomington on 1101 N. Dunn St. The history of the company dates as far back as 1978, when a modern dance collective formed under the name “Windfall Dancers.”

Activism through art encouraged by Coal-Free IU

The Beehive Design Collective, an organization committed to activism through art, will be making its way to Bloomington today. The group has spent the last two years preparing to show the world “The True Cost of Coal.”
