Volleyball loses 11th straight to Purdue

In a televised match against in-state rival No. 21 Purdue, the IU volleyball team fell in three sets (25-22, 25-19, 25-19). The loss marks the 11th straight loss for the Hoosiers (8-12, 0-9) who are still looking for their first conference win.

Indiana, Texas among states bringing suit against EPA

The U.S. Supreme Court agreed in an order issued Oct. 15 to hear a consolidated case brought against the Environmental Protection Agency. Those filing suit are Texas and 11 other states, including Indiana, and various other business and public interest groups.

On average, seven times as many fans have watched the men play at home this season than the women, according to IU Athletics Department data. The men’s budget is 1 1/2 times larger than the women’s. Men’s Coach Todd Yeagley’s base salary is almost twice as much as Women’s Coach Amy Berbary.

Union Board vetoes election overhaul elections

Union Board rejected a motion Monday for a new committee structure which would allow students to run for a director position with a specific platform instead of being placed on a committee or position after being elected to the board of directors.
