IU has retained investment banking firm Goldman Sachs to assess potential financial gains as the Board of Trustees weighs the option of leasing University parking operations in exchange for an up-front, lump sum payment, according to a press release issued Wednesday.


Trustees to discuss school merger, parking privatization

The IU Board of Trustees will convene at its regular meeting Thursday to hear reports about two contested initiatives: the merger of the School of Informatics and Computing with the School of Library and Information Science and the privatization of parking.


IU mandates background checks

While no one has questioned the benefits a new IU policy, some faculty members said they are concerned their programs cannot coexist with the background check provision.



School of Global and International Studies receives approval

A national search will begin immediately for the first leader of the School of Global and International Studies after the Board of Trustees approved the push to bring new degrees to Bloomington’s campus at Friday’s meeting.
