The IU women’s soccer team recorded their third win in the Big Ten on Sunday after a shutout from freshman goalkeeper Lauren Hollandsworth against Michigan State.

IU volleyball goes 1-1 in conference matches

The IU volleyball team is now 3-3 in the Big Ten and 12-6 overall after splitting two conference matches this weekend. IU defeated Illinois on the road Friday night in a five-game thriller and lost to No. 9 Wisconsin in Madison, Wis., on Saturday night.

IU field hockey splits pair of weekend home games

After losing two of their last three games, the IU field hockey team had an opportunity to record two big wins this weekend in front of home fans at the IU Field Hockey Field. The Hoosiers were impressive in a 2-1 win over Miami University of Ohio on Friday, but fell to No. 9 Penn State 2-0 on Sunday.

Home atmosphere leads to wins for IU womens tennis

In their first home tournament of the year, the No. 24 IU women’s tennis team racked up wins on their home court. The team competed in the Hoosier Classic this weekend, where they won three singles flights out of a possible 10. Juniors Alba Berdala, Sigrid Fischer and Stephanie Heller all reached the singles finals and won the last match of their flights.

After playing to a 1-1 draw in two overtimes against Michigan last night, the IU women’s soccer team will play Michigan State at noon on Sunday. The Hoosiers got on the board first in the 24th minute as senior midfielder/forward Lindsay McCarthy blasted a shot into the Wolverine goal from 20 yards out.

IU tops UIC 1-0 for 3rd win in a row, 6th on the year

The last time IU and the University of Illinois-Chicago met on the pitch was 1977, when UIC was still considered a D-II school. Although none of the current Hoosier squad was alive to see that game, they were able to continue the winning tradition against the Flames in a 1-0 victory Wednesday night at Bill Armstrong Stadium. It was the third win in a row and sixth overall for IU this season.
