Feds: Waterworks housed drug ring

·

CHICAGO -- Federal prosecutors charged Wednesday that the Chicago branch of a Colombian heroin trafficking organization operated inside the city water department, already awash in allegations that trucking companies received department business in exchange for payoffs.

Hoosiers suffering from chronic pain, cancerous deterioration and the wasting away associated with HIV/AIDS have no state or federal right to smoke or otherwise ingest marijuana for medical purposes under the advice and care of Indiana doctors as prescribed by most local, statewide and national laws.

'Cause' to see this movie

·

To me, James Dean has always been as American as an apple pie drinking Coca-Cola at a baseball game.

The Indiana Daily Student

'Boogeyman' a bust

·

The intro starts off good by grabbing the viewer's attention right from the beginning, but the movie seems to go downhill from that point unfortunately.

Tyson ready to fight again

·

WASHINGTON -- Kevin McBride barely had a chance to utter what seems to be the only phrase he knows when Mike Tyson told him how it was going to be.

'Cinderella' year's first Oscar contender

·

Boxing films have a long history of being directed by the tough guys. Martin Scorsese and "Raging Bull," Michael Mann and "Ali" and even Clint Eastwood with last year's Oscar-winning "Million Dollar Baby," all three are films directed by men whose prior films backed them up when it came to directing pugilistic pictures.

James Dean

·

The leather jacket. The white T-shirt. The cigarette. Everyone knows James Dean, eternally young and the king of 1950s cool.

Bad movies, good lessons

·

There are movies on my movie shelf that I'm a little hesitant to talk about. They're mainly videotapes, and they're a little embarrassing.

Go 'Out' and get this album

·

Audioslave is a solid band -- how could they not be? With Chris Cornell powering out his catchy vocals and top-20-all-time-guitarist Tom Morello reproving himself on every song, every Audioslave album should be good.

Coldplay coldcock the competition

·

Will someone please grab that rusty, Jesus-juiced crown off of Michael Jackson's head, polish it up 'til it gleams, and crown Chris Martin the new king of pop?

'Lords of' Letdown

·

Spending countless hours ollieing and doing 360s on a crappy skateboard in my driveway during early adolescence and seeing documentarian Stacy Peralta's "Dogtown and Z-Boys" a few years back served as a worthwhile primer to "Lords of Dogtown," a dramatized account of the aforementioned non-fiction film.

Chipping away at the press

·

If you think last week's assassination of a Lebanese columnist and last week's unmasking of the world's most famous anonymous source have nothing in common, you're right.
