Andrew Bird will perform to a sold-out crowd at 8 p.m. today in the Buskirk-Chumley Theater. This is the first performance of the year for the BCT Concert Series, and it is jointly hosted by the IU Union Board.

A 17-year-old IU student passed away early this morning, from what appears to have been a brain hemorrhage caused by a severe allergic reaction to something he ate.

When Bob Woodward uncovered the first details of the Watergate scandal with Carl Bernstein in 1972, he worked against a government that clouded itself in secrecy and became infamous for hiding important information from the American people. Woodward believes the current administration is much the same.

IU signs recruit

High school senior Tom Pritchard verbally committed to become the fourth member of the IU men’s basketball team’s recruiting class of 2008. Pritchard called IU coach Kelvin Sampson to confirm his spot on the team, according to recruiting services www.rivals.com and www.scout.com.

Northwest Indiana flooding carries $4 million pricetag

After 33 days of high wind speeds that caused damage to hundreds of homes, as well as overflowing sewers, Gov. Mitch Daniels applied Friday to receive federal emergency funding for Northwest Indiana. It could take millions to repair the damage, he said.

WonderLab museum offers students work, entertainment opportunities
