New social networking site caters to Indianapolis area

With Facebook now allowing almost anyone onto its formerly college-only Web site, a new site for social networking has appeared: IndyMojo.com. The site is available solely to those in the Indianapolis area and is intended for people who are out of college.

Lewis captures 3rd Big Ten Player of the Week honor

After torching Akron last weekend in a 41-24 win in Bloomington, sophomore quarterback Kellen Lewis was named Big Ten offensive player of the week Monday. Lewis is now a three-time recipient of the award in his 13 career starts at quarterback.

In the past, the University of Michigan Press has been known to publish a body of fairly controversial works. For example, in 2004 it released “The Limits to Union: Same-Sex Marriage and the Politics of Civil Rights,” by Jonathan Goldberg-Hiller. This book provided a discussion of the same-sex marriage debate, which was and still is, needless to say, an extremely divisive issue.

Blackwater ordered to leave Iraq

The Iraqi government said Monday that it was revoking the license of an American security firm accused of involvement in the deaths of eight civilians in a firefight that followed a car bomb explosion near a State Department motorcade.
