IU’s 2009 official homecoming show scheduled for Tuesday at the tailgating fields in Hoosier Village has been canceled.

Concert to benefit Mental Health America of Monroe County

Bloomington’s own R&B, blues, jazz and swing band, Craig Brenner & the Crawdads, will play a benefit concert for Mental Health America of Monroe County Saturday. The concert, titled “Dance to Live, Live to Love” was scheduled in conjunction with the Fourth Annual Art of Mental Health exhibit.

The Monroe County Public Library will get a visit from several furry patrons looking for good homes Saturday. Bloomington Animal Care and Control is bringing “adorable adoptables” to meet local families and individuals as part of Adopt-a-Dog month.

‘Real World’ to have Ind. tryouts

This Saturday, the longest-running television show in MTV’s history will take an Indianapolis detour to look for young adults, including IU students, to audition for the 24th season of “The Real World.”

IU enters critical contest

Some fans think IU was not supposed to beat Ohio State, and therefore, a hard effort from the historically lowly Hoosiers was acceptable. Thankfully, for the sake of the team’s season, IU coach Bill Lynch isn’t one of those people.
