IU firestorm ignites after de-com

·

IU coach Bill Lynch’s already-hot seat is starting to sizzle.  After a 3-9 disaster last season, tempers around Bloomington went from boiling to tepid once 2009 kicked off. The Hoosiers, paced by exciting young players and a new determination to win, started the season on a very positive 3-1 note.

Ind. prisons see more violence

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana’s prisons are experiencing an increase in inmate assaults and attacks on staff – a trend the state prison chief blames largely on overcrowding caused by inadequate funding for new beds.

The real problem with health care

·

Repealing the McCarran-Ferguson Act act would make it much easier for health companies to become part of the market. Getting rid of this anti-trust exemption is something that people from each end of the political spectrum should be able to agree on.

It’s next to Godliness

·

This year, I requested a single. It’s not that I don’t like people. I just don’t like their stuff. Back home, I used to vacuum the floor of my room every night before bed. It was my routine: pajamas, brush teeth, then Dirt Devil. In the dorm, unfortunately, it might bother the neighbors.

Transformers 2

The sign of bad things to come

·

Watching “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” the first go-around was a sick chore. I thought maybe Michael Bay had inadvertently made a 150-minute torture porn flick, it was so awful. But four months later, I was ready to give it another chance – and my God, it’s even worse.
