Indiana men’s golf finished in 12th place out of 14 teams this week in the Palm Beach NCAA Regional. The Hoosiers, who entered as the 10th-ranked team in the region, did not play to their seed and were unable to advance into the next round of the tournament. Indiana needed to finish in the top five teams in order to qualify for the NCAA Finals.

In the 50th edition of the Kepler Intercollegiate, Indiana men’s golf finished in sixth place with a total team score of 859, 5-under par. The Hoosiers shot 3-under 285 and 4-under 284 on Saturday, followed by a final round of 2-over 290 on Sunday.

Thirteen was the lucky number to kick off the “World’s Greatest College Weekend” on Friday, as Melanzana Cycling ran away from the field early after starting out in 13th place and held the lead to win their first-ever Little 500 with a time of 1:15:46.

For its final regular season match, Indiana men’s golf will travel to Columbus, Ohio, to play in the 50th edition of the Kepler Intercollegiate. The event is named after Robert Kepler, who was the head golf coach of Ohio State from 1938-1965. Kepler is known for coaching legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus to an individual national championship with the Buckeyes.
