The sun sets over Kirkwood Avenue and the B-Line Trail on Monday in Bloomington. The city was named the seventh-best college town on a top ten list of college towns by the website Livability.com. To make the cut, the cities had to be considered places with a lively intellectual and artistic culture as well offer a economy in which a recent graduate could potentially launch a career. Specific reasons that Bloomington was placed on the list included The Upland Brewing Company, bars such as the Bluebird and Kilroys, the myriad ways in which residents can live an active and healthy lifestyle and the prominent arts scene due to the Bloomington Area Arts District.
