As sixth-year senior Noah Gillard gears up for his final postseason as a Hoosier, he couldn’t help but pick up some hardware on his way out. After a second-place finish in the Hoosier Collegiate, the league office rewarded Gillard with his first-ever Big Ten Men’s Golfer of the Week award.

Undeterred, Indiana continued its winning streak at the Cardinal Invitational held in Muncie, Indiana on Oct. 23, with freshman Nick Piesen taking home first place.
After finishing up the Fighting Irish Classic early this week, Indiana men’s golf notched another top-5 finish. Indiana finished play tied for second place, totaling scores of 837 (279-277-281; 3-under). The Hoosiers have now placed in the top-5 in back-to-back tournaments, and will have two more competitions to finish out the fall season.
After the three-day event in Grand Haven, Michigan, Indiana men’s golf team placed ninth at the Folds of Honor Collegiate. Indiana’s starters shot 877 (+25) over 54 holes at the American Dunes Golf Club. Senior Drew Salyers led the way for Indiana, posting scores of 215 (70-73-72; +2) from September 3-6.
The Indiana men’s golf team opened up its fall season Monday, Sept. 4-6 in the Folds of Honor Collegiate in Grand Haven, Michigan. Head coach Mike Mayer enters his 26th year as Indiana's head coach and is fresh off of a regional appearance in last season's NCAA tournament.
Indiana field hockey battled over the weekend against two ranked opponents to open Big Ten play at home, going 1-1 to notch its first ranked and conference win of the season. Indiana came into the weekend with a 7-4 record and was winless in Big Ten games, but the team beat No. 21 Rutgers 2-0 on Friday to open the weekend slate before losing to No. 6 Penn State 4-0 on Saturday.

It was another successful weekend for Indiana field hockey as the team went 2-0 to extend its win streak to five games, the most wins in a row since the team’s 2014 season. Indiana improved its overall record to 5-2 after beating Ball State University on Friday and Bellarmine University on Sunday at the IU Field Hockey Complex.
When Indiana field hockey left for its West Coast road trip last week, they had yet to win a game this season after two games. However, Indiana left the weekend adding three wins to its season tally.
