The Indiana Daily Student

"Ever seen somebody holding a live frag grenade?" Sgt. McCool asked. "Here you go. That's Iraq." In his nine years, five months and five days enlisted in the Army, Sgt. McCool deployed to Kosovo once and to Iraq twice - first during the Battle of Fallujah and next to Baghdad. Now a student at Indiana University, McCool has assumed the role of head coach for the Indiana Cutters semi-pro football team, furthering his love for a sport he enjoyed playing before the war.
