BFA student Ben Cirgin prepares clay cups for firing on Tuesday at Clay Studios in Bloomington. Once glaze has been applied to the cups they will be put in a wood kiln for three days. The kiln reaches temperatures of 2,500 degrees and requires three pieces of wood per minute as fuel. The cups are fashioned in a Japanese style and will be part of a sale at Clay Studios. Cirgin teaches beginner classes at Clay Studios and is about to start the third semester of his BFA degree. Andrew Anderson
