IU football team goes through offseason workouts

IU Coach Kevin Wilson opened up an offseason workout Tuesday night to the media. For about an hour and a half, media members watched players go through a number of drills, mostly dealing with speed, fundamentals and agility. Wilson said the workouts have gone differently this year because so many of the players have been through these kinds of exercises before. "The learning curve is much less," Wilson said.

Hoosiers up to second place in Big Ten Championships

Trailing by 40 points to Minnesota, who Indiana Coach Ray Looze called the "favorites" before the start of the Big Ten Championships, Looze said the Hoosiers are in good position with one final day left in competition. After starting Friday in third place behind the Gophers and Ohio State, the Hoosiers passed the Buckeyes and are currently in second place with 416 points, heading into the last day of the Big Ten Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. Hoosiers post strong preliminaries performance in Day 3 of B1G Championships

After Thursday's competition ended with Indiana in third place at the Big Ten Swimming and Diving Championships, IU Coach Ray Looze said that he wanted the team to come out strong in preliminaries on Friday. Inside the Numbers: Comparing the streaks

The question surrounding this team is simple. Is IU better now than it was after it was 15-1? Some debate that wins over a couple top 15 teams in Ohio State and Michigan is more impressive than wins over middle of the pack teams like Illinois and Northwestern.

Possible NCAA destinations for the Hoosiers

As we were waiting for the pre-Northwestern press conference Tuesday evening, the media started debating on the different first and second round possibilities for IU. Back in 2002, the NCAA tournament adopted a pod system in an effort to try and keep the top 4 seeds in each bracket as close to home as possible in the tournament's first week of games. There are eight different first round sites, which means eight teams will be sent to each site.
