IU women's basketball dropped out of the latest Associated Press Top 25 women's basketball poll on Monday after being ranked No. 22 last week.

IU received 61 votes in the poll which was the 27th most among those who earned votes. They trail No. 25 Texas A&M by 34 votes for the final ranked spot.

The Hoosiers' drop out of the Top 25 comes following a 70-51 loss to Ohio State on Saturday. It was the first loss of the season for the Hoosiers, snapping what was the longest winning streak to start a season in program history.

In terms of Big Ten teams, IU is the fourth highest ranked team in conference. Penn State still leads the way at No. 16, Nebraska follows at No. 18 and Purdue takes over at the No. 22 spot.

IU plays three games this week including a Wednesday game against Wisconsin in Madison, Wis. The Hoosiers will then play for the Barn Burner Trophy in West Lafayette against No. 22 Purdue before returning home to play Minnesota.
