It's been a tale of two quarters in Bloomington.

IU leads 21-14, after an explosive first quarter and a relatively tame second quarter.

The first quarter saw 375 yards of total offense between the two teams, making it 14-14 after the first stanza.

The two teams are 11th and 12th in the Big Ten in total defense. The two teams have 577 yards between them. IU with 289 and Illinois with 288.

Coleman eclipsed the 100-yard mark in the first quarter, with a large chunk coming on a 64-yard TD run on the second play of scrimmage for the IU offense. He has 118 yards at halftime, averaging 11.8 yards a carry.

Illinois quarterback Nate Scheelhaase has also been prolific. The senior is 15-21 for 209 yards and a touchdown.

Wide receiver Cody Latimer has had a stellar outing so far. On two separate third downs, the junior has fought for the extra yard which gave his offense the first down.

In the second quarter, Sudfeld lobbed a ball to the left side of the end zone, and Latimer made a great effort to corral the ball for the touchdown. So far he has eight catches for 86 yards and a touchdown.

IU will get the ball to start the second half.
