Freshman guard Stanford Robinson and freshman forward Devin Davis sat out of IU's 83-68 exhibition victory against Southern Indiana on Saturday nursing lingering injuries.

Robinson has not been cleared to play yet after suffering a knee injury at Hoosier Hysteria on Oct. 4.

Davis was held out for precautionary reasons, IU Coach Tom Crean said. Crean did not specify exactly what Davis' injury is, nor when it was suffered.

"Devin was in a situation where he has just had a tough week," he said. "We decided to hold him back to allow his body to rest up and recover."

Crean added that he does not anticipate Davis to be out long.

"Just determined that it's better to make sure that he gets his body feeling better all the way around, even though this time of year, for any of them, you're never going to feel great," Crean said. "We just wanted to allow him a little time, especially with next week coming up, allow him a little time to work his way back into it."

As for Robinson, Crean said he hopes for him to be cleared "at some point next week."

Freshman center Luke Fischer played 11 minutes and had two points, five rebounds and one block. Fischer had only recently returned to practice after suffering a preseason shoulder injury before official team practices started.

Crean said Fischer hadn't been in a full-contact practice with the team until Wednesday.

Freshman forward Troy Williams played with a wrap on his right hand, but played 25 minutes, scoring 10 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and blocking three shots. Crean said Williams couldn't use his right hand until Monday.

"He was really playing with one hand," Crean said of Williams' play prior to Monday. "Literally."

Williams said that his hand is now back to 100 percent and it didn't limit him at all on Saturday.

Because he only recently recovered from that hand injury, Crean expects Williams' shooting to progress as he works his offense back into his game.

"It's no where near where it's going to be," Crean said.

Sophomore forward Hanner Mosquera-Perea is walking around campus in a walking boot, but it did not appear to effect him in the game. Mosquera-Perea played 15 minutes, scored nine points, secured five rebounds and tallied one block on Saturday.

Crean said the boot is completely precautionary, adding that there is a "day-to-day watch on him as to what he's going to do in practice"
