After a successful Session I, with three out of the five wrestlers advancing to the round of 16, Session II was less forgiving for Indiana.

Sophomore Taylor Walsh faced Boise State's Georgi Ivanov in the round of 16, suffering a 6-9 loss. Walsh will wrestle again in wrestlebacks Friday morning. Walsh's teammate, junior Ryan LeBlanc will also wrestle in wrestlebacks, losing a blowout match of 0-10 to the No. 1 seed, Cornell's Kyle Dake.

Junior Adam Chalfant's hopes of making it past the round of 16 were dashed as well, falling to Northwestern's Mike McMullan 5-7. Chalfant will join his two teammates for wrestlebacks.

In the first round of wrestlebacks, sophomore Joe Duca was matched up against Utah Valley's Jade Rauser. Rauser immediately pinned Duca, ending his career. Duca ended the 2012-13 season with 15 wins and a trip to the NCAA Championships.

The next Hoosier up for wrestlebacks was sophomore Luke Sheridan, and his fate would be the same as Duca's. With a hard 2-8 loss against Illinois' Tony Dallago, Sheridan will end the season with 22 wins, two of which were against nationally ranked opponents. Much the same as his two teammates, Walsh was defeated in his wrestleback by Nebraska's Jacob Green 8-19, and completed his redshirt sophomore season with a total of 30 wins.

The fourth Hoosier to take the mat was LeBlanc and though it seemed as though he would break the losing streak, he was defeated by North Carolina's John Staudenmayer. Though LeBlanc led throughout the first period and headed into sudden victory, Staudenmayer came out on top, ending LeBlanc's junior season with 24 wins and his second trip to the NCAAs. Chalfant ended his season as well today, with 27 wins this season.

Though none of the five Hoosiers made it past the wrestlebacks, each wrestler gave it his all.
