Senior Brant Peaper was named the Big Ten's Golfer of the week on Sept. 19. Peaper captured the individual title by seven strokes as he led the Hoosiers to a second place finish at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate.
His opening round 65 set the pace for his overall stroke total of 202, both scores tied tournament records.
"Brant certainly deserves this award after his play the past weekend at Wolf Run," IU Coach Mike Mayer said in a media release. "As I said after the tournament, it was one of the most impressive performances that I have ever seen and we look forward to what the rest of the year has in store for not only Brant but the entire team."
Peaper is the first Hoosier to earn this honor this season. It is his second such honor while at IU.
