Only one day after attending IU's Elite camp and earning a scholarship offer the same night, Homestead (Fort Wayne) High School wide receiver Issac Griffith has made his college decision.

The incoming senior committed to IU Monday afternoon, becoming the football program's first commitment for the 2013 class.

"I came up to camp, knew they were definitely interested in me and they'd been recruiting me for a long time, it's just that they hadn't put an offer on the table for me," Griffith said Sunday night. "That was my whole goal: to come here and get an offer from IU and that's what I did."

Griffith is a 3-star prospect according to 24/7 Sports and Rivals.com, and during his junior year compiled 60 receptions for 1,112 yards and 22 touchdowns.

He also had received scholarship offers from multiple MAC schools, including Ball State, Miami (OH) and Toledo. Other Big Ten schools such as Northwestern and Minnesota had shown interest, but had not extended an offer. Indiana was the first BCS-conference school to offer Griffith.

"Basically, they play in the Big Ten and I feel like I'm at home when I'm at the school," Griffith said Sunday night.
