Head coach Tracy Smith was ejected in the bottom of the fourth inning. Here are his comments after the game.
"Being in Division I baseball for 20 years, that was probably one of the weirdest, most unconventional things that's ever happened in a situation like that," he said. "We said to our pitcher [Hart], 'Hey, way to execute. Nice pitch.'
"Next thing, the umpire turns to the dugout, and says 'That'll be enough in there.' All we're doing is telling to our pitcher good pitch. That's kind of how it started. I went out and said to him 'What are you doing?' We're not talking to you, we're talking to our pitcher. I don't quite understand this. He says to me 'You're out of here.' I don't know how to explain it better than that. It was one of the weirdest things I've ever seen.
"Very disappointing. Just unusual, I guess would be the term"
