Point guard Yogi Ferrell will represent IU basketball on March 28 in Chicago at the 35th annual McDonald's All-American game.

Ferrell is ranked as the No. 4 point guard in the nation according to Rivals.com and the No. 17 player overall.

Four of IU's five 2012 commits were nominated for the prestigious all star game with center Peter Jurkin being the only one not named. Ferrell was the lone Hoosier who made the final cut and will play for the West team.

Fellow Indiana native Gary Harris (Michigan State) will play on the East team.

Last year Cody Zeller became the first Hoosier since Eric Gordon to play in the McDonald's All-American game.

The game is on Wednesday March 28 in Chicago.
