IU is ranked No. 7 in the AP poll and No. 8 in the Coaches' poll.

IU has moved into the top ten in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' poll and the AP for the first time since Jan. 21, 2008, when the Hoosiers were 16-1 under former coach Kelvin Sampson.

The bump in the rankings comes after a week in which IU beat then No. 13/16 Michigan at Assembly Hall and beat Penn State in Happy Valley to snap a nearly two year Big Ten road losing streak.

Besides snapping a road losing streak, IU also won their third straight Big Ten game, the first time that has happened in the Tom Crean era. The three Big Ten wins already matches IU's conference win total from a season ago and is one win short of the highest conference win total in the Crean era.

The Hoosiers are one of three Big Ten teams ranked in the top ten, falling behind No. 5 Ohio State and No. 7 Michigan State.

IU will put its top ten ranking to the test when it takes in Minnesota on Thursday night at Assembly Hall and at No.5 Ohio State on Sunday afternoon.
