After Saturday's swimming and diving sweep of Purdue on national television, four members of the IU swimming and diving team were honored by the Big Ten for their performances during the meet.

Junior diver Zac Nees won his third Big Ten Diver of the Week award of the season on Tuesday, this after a 420.90 score in the 1-meter competition against Purdue and a third place finish in the platform dive. Nees' score in the 1-meter was the second-best ever in the rich Indiana diving history, and the highest score ever by a collegiate athelete in the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center. It was Nees' fifth win on the season, and his fourth straight meet of earning at least one victory.

Meanwhile, junior diver Amy Cozad won her first Big Ten Diver of the Week of the season in her first meet of the season, this after she competed in national events prior to the season. Cozad won the platform dive with a score of 354.43, the fifth-best in IU history, an IU dual-meet record and the highest score out of any IU diver this season. Cozad however is sharing the Diver of the Week honors with Ohio State's Bianca Alvarez, who won the 3-meter dive in their meet against Michigan.

For freshman swimmer Steve Schmuhl, he won his second Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors in the last three weeks after winning the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 1:47.73 and being a part of the winning 400-yard medley relay team, which raced a time of 3:16.77 and earning an NCAA Provisional Qualifying mark in the process. Schmuhl also finished in second for the 100-yard butterfly (49.91) and fourth in the 200-yard backstroke (1:49.98).

Finally, senior swimmer Allysa Vavra was awarded Big Ten Swimmer of the Week for the second time of the season, in light of her performance on Senior Day against the Boilermakers. Vavra recorded first-place finishes in the 1,000-yard freestyle (9:51.23), 200-yard breaststroke (2:15.67) and 200-yard individual medley (2:03.84) in her effort against Purdue, and was pivotal in the Hoosier's victory. Vavra also finished fourth in the 400-yard freestyle relay, as her parents watched her effort from the stands.

The Hoosiers will look to continue to rack up Big Ten honors on Saturday, as IU hosts Louisville at the CBAC with the action starting at 2 pm. The Cardinals also boast two ranked programs, as the men are ranked at No. 11 in the nation, and the women at No. 19.
