Still refining this to make it more IU-centric. Suggestions always welcome through email, Twitter, comments, etc.

No. 3 Ohio State (19-3, 7-2) 64

No.22 Michigan (16-6, 6-3) 49

  • The Hoosiers will take on Michigan Wednesday in Ann Arbor. How did the Buckeyes limit their rivals to their lowest point total all season?

  1. I was going to praise OSU shooting 18 foul shots compared to UM's 4, but Ted Valentine was a referee, so take that stat with a grain of salt
  2. Across the board, Michigan could not hit three-pointers. Stu Douglass was 1-of-5 from deep and Tim Hardaway Jr. shot 2-0f-7 en route to a team total of 8-of-25, 32%
  3. Ohio State's offense was not spectacular (42% shooting from the field and 3-of-15 from deep), but the Buckeyes defense held UM to a 35.8 field goal percentage and outside of Hardaway and freshman phenom Trey Burke, the Wolverines shot 9-of-30 from the field for 21 points

  • Remember Ohio State sophomore guard Lenzelle Smith Jr.? Against IU in Columbus, the unheralded Buckeye dropped a season-high 28 points. After scoring a total of just two points against Nebraska and Penn State, Smith, who is averaging just 5.9 points per game, again went off on Sunday. Against Michigan he led all scorers with 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting with 12 rebounds. Man, talk about your scouting report killers

  • Ohio State is @Wisconsin Saturday, vs. Purdue Feb. 7 and vs. Michigan State Feb. 11
