The IU women's basketball team lost to Miami University for the second straight year Tuesday night in Oxford, Ohio by a score of 77-72. The loss puts their record at an even 2-2.

Leading the way for the Hoosiers were junior guard Jasmine McGhee and senior forward Georgie Jones. McGhee scored 18 points on an ankle that is still not 100 percent while Jones notched her second double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds. IU's biggest lead came with 14:31 left in the first half at 15-7, but a 13-5 run by Miami deep into the second half was too much for the Hoosiers to overcome.

  • The starting lineup included Andrea Newbauer, Jasmine McGhee, Aulani Sinclair, Georgie Jones, and Danilsa Andujar.
  • IU posted its highest shooting performance of the year at 45 percent (27-60).
  • Newbauer set career highs in points (eight) and assists (seven) and added two steals and a block.
  • Freshman Necole Sterling set a career high with nine points on 4-9 shooting.
  • Sinclair recorded her second straight double-digit scoring performance with eleven while adding five rebounds in her first start of the season.
  • The Hoosiers lost the rebounding battle for the first time all year, 37-47.

IU's next matchup will be against reigning WNIT champion Toledo in Bloomington. Tip off is at 7:00 Friday night.
