After the innagural season of the IU men's soccer team's Hoosier Army, several players, along with Coach Todd Yeagley noted after home games that they felt the hype around the seven-time national champions was back.

Yeagley, along with his players, said he felt like the fans of the Hoosier Army made Bill Armstrong Stadium one of the toughest college soccer venues for visiting teams to play at in the country.

But even with the addition of this official fan following before this season, the attendance at men's Hoosier soccer games dipped a little after last season.

Even with games against highly-ranked foes, such as Louisville and Creighton, the team only averaged 1,929 fans per game, 342 below last year's average of 2,271.

Yet in those two games against ranked opponents, the team averaged 2,560 attendants to watch the game at Jerry Yeagley field, higher than any season average since 2005.

And with 1,149 fans on Facebook after only starting back in August, it'll be interesting to see with the team's three trips to the NCAA Sweet 16 in as many years, how - and if - the fan following of the men's soccer team grows.
