Junior defensive end Kevin Bush has left the team, IU Coach Kevin Wilson confirmed last night after IU's loss to North Texas.
Bush primarily played special teams for the Hoosiers and was not expected to see his role increase this season.
Wilson said Bush cited a loss of passion for the game as his main reason for quitting. Wilson said he tried to convince Bush to stay on the team, but was unable to convince him.
Bush is most notable for having served three and a half years in the US Army before coming to IU.
He spent one season, but did not play, at the University of Toledo in 2004 before leaving to join the military.
