Rivals.com released their initial ranking of the top 20 football recruits in the state for 2012 and a handful of future Hoosiers made the list.

Leading the charge for IU is wide receiver Kevin Davis of state powerhouse Warren Central in Indianpolis at sixth in the state. He is ranked as the best reciever in the state. One of eight Warren Central players on the list, Davis' current and future teammate, linebacker Jordan Wallace, is ranked 15th.

IU's newest commit, center Wes Rogers of Lawrence Central, checks in at seventh. Rogers is also regarded by Rivals as the eighth best center prospect in the country.

Also on the list, at number 13, is defensive end Adam Kranda. Kranda also plays tight end for New Castle Chrysler and recieved some interest at that position as well.

Topping the list is Columbus East quarterback Gunner Kiel who remains uncommitted. The brother of sophomore quarterback Dusty Kiel, the younger Kiel is ranked as the top quarterback in the country and has reportedly narrowed his college choices to IU, Oklahoma, Alabama, Missouri and Tennessee.

IU also remains in the running for Sheldon Day, a defenseive tackle from Warren Central and the third-ranked player in the state.
