This from Jody Demling of the Louisville Courier Journal:

Eastern High School senior standout Remy Abell has made his college decision.

The 6-foot-4 Abell, who was recently released from Bradley University, has given a verbal commitment to Indiana University coach Tom Crean.

Abell picked the Hoosiers over Xavier, Western Kentucky, Butler and Penn State.

"Indiana is not just getting one player, they are getting a guy that can play three different positions for them and can guard three different positions," Abell's AAU coach Jeff Davis said. "He's only going to get better with his attitude and what kind of competitor he is. It's a great situation for Indiana and for him."

This is a curious pick-up for the Hoosiers with a roster full of guards. Abell averaged 16 points and 3 assists for a 33-3 Eastern High school team. Abell is a 3-star recruit according to Rivals.com and joins a class that includes Cody Zeller and Austin Etherington.
