A source told me today that IU running back Darius Willis will not be suspended by the University. Had he been found guilty, Willis would have faced a six-month suspension from the school, meaning he would have missed the entire 2011-12 football season, the source said.

Now that his hearing with the Office of Student Ethics has ended, what's next for the former Mr. Football award winner?

IU athletics director Fred Glass and coach Kevin Wilson were clearly waiting for this to be resolved before they made any disciplinary moves. My source said Willis had a conference with Wilson after the allegations came out, but the source doesn't expect Willis to be suspended by the team.

I wouldn't think he would be either. He hasn't been charged with anything at this point and doesn't have any charges out against him. If nothing else, Willis will be able to enjoy his spring break without this decision looming.

Wilson declined comment through team spokesman Jeff Keag.
