With the IU baseball team's first home game (finally) coming Sunday, it seems coach Tracy Smith and the Hoosiers are eager to get in more work at Sembower Field.

IU Athletics announced Thursday that the team would add a home contest Wednesday, March 30 against Shawnee State. The Hoosiers will toss the first pitch at 3:05 p.m.

Interestingly enough, the Bears are coached by Ted Tom, who served as volunteer coach at IU under Smith. Anything to do with the addition of this game?

Either way, the Hoosiers gain a home game as well as some extra work before diving into Big Ten play the following weekend at Michigan.
