Only two schools in the country - Texas A&M (15) and Georgia (14) - will send more competitors to the NCAA meet. With five freshmen, this IU NCAA squad will have an interesting mix of experience and youth. Swimmers like Jones will be willing to share their past experiences with the younger swimmers.
"This will be my fourth time going to NCAAs," Jones said, "and you just have to learn that it may not feel as good as Big Tens, but you still have to go for it. It's going to hurt more. You just have to swim your own race and go for it."
The Hoosiers also expect to send multiple divers to the NCAA meet. The divers will be selected after Zone Diving meets from March 10-13.
