This is the true post of Little 500 riders picked to have their lives surrounding America's Greatest College Weekend posted to the web. To find out what happens when the IDS stops just reporting and starts getting real...check here for The Real World -- Little 500 style.

The Indiana University campus has four seasons; summer, fall, winter and the Little 500. I think that everyone can agree that the weather last week kicked off the greatest of those seasons as hundreds of rookies joined Riders Council out on the cinders at Bill Armstrong Stadium... and that is why I am here.

My name is Abigail Legg, and I am a junior majoring in Neuroscience. I started my love affair with the little 500 in 2009 with the fierce independent team Wing It Cycling. When I joined the team as a rookie, I was trading in my ice skates for a helmet.

Before college I competed Nationally and Internationally for US Figure Skating and when I retired in 2008, it seemed most logical to literally jump on a bike and start a brand new chapter in my life. That is how 16 months after retiring from figure skating I found myself on my Schwinn bicycle watching the green flag drop in the 2010 race where we finished ninth. This year, Wing It Cycling has spent the last 10 months tirelessly working to improve upon that finish. It is just a mere eight weeks until the 2011 Little 500 champions are crowned. I am going to sprint into the world of blogging here today as I regale you with my thoughts, predictions, and musings about the always exciting world of The Little 500, one left turn at a time. And with that the green flag has dropped on my race here as a blogger, stay tuned...I promise we won't go yellow.

Editors Note: Check back weekly for more from Abigail Legg and daily for more content from other riders and the IDS' Little 500 reporters.
