There's been a lot of talk about whether IU fans should have stormed the court after last night's 52-49 upset win over No. 20 Illinois.
For a program that has five national titles, celebrating that way against a team not even in the top-10 in the country is debatable.
Personally, I think fans had much more right to do so against a team like the Illini compared to Minnesota last season. For everything the Hoosiers have gone through in the past few years - recruiting violations, ineligibility issues, injury problems - I can see why those in attendance would want to rush the floor.
It was also Tom Crean's first win at IU against a ranked opponent.
Thinking strictly from a student's perspective, non-seniors haven't experienced a win like this in their time in Bloomington. For those who were there in Eric Gordon's lone season, it's essentially been three years since anything like this has occurred.
I'm still not sure whether or not storming the court last night was acceptable for one of the most historic programs in college basketball.
With that being said, I'm curious to hear your opinion. Was it right or wrong to celebrate like that?
