Northwestern wide receivers coach Kevin Johns has accepted the same position at IU. Johns had been with the Wildcats for the last six years.

While I don't know a lot about Johns, this seems like another solid hire for head coach Kevin Wilson. Wilson has quickly made Bloomington a destination for some of the nation's best coaches, including former Boise State assistant Brent Pease and former Nebraska linebackers coach Mike Ekeler.

Johns won't have the opportunity to work with Tandon Doss, who declared for the NFL Draft today, but he does have a lot of talent coming back. Damarlo Belcher is a legitimate No. 1 receiver and youngsters Kofi Hughes and Duwyce Wilson showed positive signs last season.

Doss knew the time was right

As promised, here are some more of Doss' comments from earlier today. He said he started thinking hard about his potential NFL future after a loss to Iowa this season.

Doss won't attend classes during the second semester but will instead begin training for The Draft in Florida with an agent.

On helping his family out financially: "It's crazy. I can't even wrap my mind around it right now. They have been there from the start for me. We haven't always had the best of times, it hasn't been the easiest life, but now I'm in a position to help them out and hopefully take care of their financial struggles.

On proving people wrong: "I don't think Indiana gets as much credit as we probably deserve. Every time I play I try to put the team on my back and show there is talent here."

On coach Wilson: "Coach Wilson was there to help me make my decision. He kept telling me to make the decision that's right for me and not for anybody else. He's been helping me with agents and answering any questions that I have for him. He's been a great mentor and I hope he has a lot of success here."
