Mark Sanchez was not a happy camper as the Jets hit the locker room just a few minutes ago, but don't expect the next two quarters of football to be channel-changing worthy. Here are a few thoughts stemming from the first 30 minutes of play:

At the beginning of the second quarter, I asked myself why I picked the Jets to win (which I did). The Colts time and time again find ways to make plays, even if their injury report is as long as my Christmas list. Much of it wasn't pretty, but they got the job done with their defensive front seven. Plus, home field always counts for something in this league.

Mark Sanchez's youth is still blatantly evident. He made the worst decision I've ever seen any player at any position make in 15 years of watching football, and was lucky it wasn't housed for six. On the Jets' final drive before halftime, I was a little surprised New York took as many shots at the end zone as the did given the environment and their youth at quarterback. Sanchez's lone interception in the first half was thrown late and high into double coverage. He's young, but if he's going to reach elite status, that is a throw he has to make under pressure in the playoffs.

It should be an exciting second half; stay tuned.
