The Hoosiers needed overtime, but IU dropped Division II squad Ferris State, 78-65 on Monday in the team's final exhibition game.
Freshman guard Victor Oladipo capped a 12-point comeback with a 4-point play in the game's final minute to tie the score at 61.
Ferris State's Jerrell Sanders hit a basket as time expired in what appeared to be the game-winner, but the officials ruled that it was after the buzzer sounded.
In overtime, IU dominated. The Hoosiers scored the session's first 12 points and was never contested en route to the 78-65 final.
Sophomore forward Christian Watford led all scorers with 25 points, including 12-for-12 from the free throw line. Sophomore guard Maurice Creek added 15, but shot 3-for-13 from the 3-point line.
Ferris State's Justin Keenan scored 21 points to pace the Bulldogs.
