Patterns are forming with the No. 24 IU men's soccer team, as the alternating wins and losses through the first five games of the year now place the Hoosiers at 2-3 after falling to Brown 2-1 Friday night in Providence, R.I.

Forward Andy Adlard put away the lone Hoosier goal, which gave IU a 1-0 lead at the half, but two Brown goals-- the go-ahead with less than eight minutes to play-- were the deciding factor.

Brown is now 3-0-2 on the year.

Forward Will Bruin, who was recently named the No. 2 upper classman in the nation by TopDrawerSoccer.com, was held to a single shot attempt on the night. The Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week leads the team with four goals on the year.

IU faces UMass Sunday at 1 p.m. to finish off its East Coast weekend. The Hoosiers are 2-0 in Sunday games so far this
