Here's more on Saturday's contest.
Coach Amy Robertson believes playing the Buckeyes in the preseason will benefit the Hoosiers on Saturday.
"They're familiar to us. That game was really close; It could've gone either way. If there was another ten minutes, we would have scored," Robertson said. "We were up. Then it was tied. Then they were up, then it was tied. They ended up getting the last word."
Robertson dismissed the relevance of the Buckeyes' ranking.
"They're not looking at it this as, 'Ohio State has this big ranking (No. 7). They must be unstoppable. We have that idea that if, 'Hey, we tune up and we're good in certain areas, that's the difference in the game.' I think that's a huge advantage for us."
The Big Ten Network Impact
Senior forward Kelsey Kiper said the national broadcast will affect the environment at the venue on Saturday in a positive manner.
"I think it's just more exciting for us that it's on the Big Ten Network."
She added that this broadcast will be good preparation for the rest of the season.
"You can be able to watch it, and watch the whole thing rather than just see the clips that the coaches show us after the game. That way we can watch ourselves, evaluate, see what other teams are going to look for, what weaknesses we have, things like that."
"Overall, I think the atmosphere is going to be a little more exciting with the Big Ten Network here."
etc.
After practice Thursday, Coach Amy Robertson told me she has not decided who will get the start in the cage for the Hoosiers Saturday as they welcome the Buckeyes - and the Big Ten Network - to IU Field Hockey Field
